Camera Setup
Set USB Mode

For Live Capture, set the USB Mode in your camera’s Settings menu to match your device (Android or iOS).

Insert SD Card

For Offline Capture, or to use the Superfreeze feature during Live Capture, your camera must have a storage card installed. Visit the Insta360 Support site for information on compatible SD cards.

Gyro Calibration

To ensure accurate stabilization, you should periodically run a Gyro Calibration procedure on your camera. If you’ve never done this, you should do it before your first Avatour capture. (Instructions for One X / One X2 / One X3)

Check Latest Firmware

If you have problems connecting or using your Insta360 camera, make sure you have the latest firmware using the Insta360 mobile app. (Instructions for One X / One X2 / One X3)
Audio Setup
Audio for Live Capture

The Avatour app uses your mobile device’s audio connection for live capture. You can either use your device’s speakerphone, or connect a Bluetooth audio device using the Bluetooth setup menu on your device.

Visit this Knowledge Base article for an overview of recommended Bluetooth audio devices for Avatour meetings.

Audio for Offline Capture

By default, your camera will use its built-in microphones during Offline Capture. In noisy environments this may not be desired.

The One X2 and One X3 cameras allow the direct connection of a Bluetooth device for use as a microphone during Offline Capture. While the menus specifically reference Airpods, in our experience any Bluetooth device may be used. (Instructions for One X2 / One X3)
Live Capture
Connect Camera to Mobile DeviceFor Live Capture with the Insta360 cameras, you must connect the camera’s USB port to your camera using the appropriate Insta360 cable.

This proprietary cable is required; other cables with the same connectors will not work. If you don’t have this cable you can purchase it at the below links:
